Making a lasting impact in Wairaka Village through sustainable community development
Skills Training
Sewing Campaign
Hearts of Gold Uganda launched a sewing project to give young women in Wairaka Village hope and skills training during the prolonged COVID-19 lockdown. This program provides vocational training that enables participants to create sustainable income through tailoring and garment production, empowering them with skills they can use for life.
Education
School Building Campaign
Hearts of Gold embarked on a campaign to construct a community school that will provide quality education for all low-income children in Wairaka Village and beyond. The school building project represents our commitment to creating lasting infrastructure that will serve generations of students in the community.
Healthcare
Medical Campaign
Each year we conduct a mission trip to Uganda to offer medical support to the Wairaka community. Our volunteer medical professionals provide essential healthcare services including dental care, general health checkups, and health education to community members who otherwise lack access to quality medical care.
Emergency Aid
Village Emergency Response
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit Uganda, the government enforced a mandatory lockdown from March through May. Hearts of Gold responded swiftly by organizing emergency food distribution to families in Wairaka Village who lost their daily income and faced food insecurity during this challenging period.
